Biography

After completing the piano, solo singing and music theory departments at the “Stanković” Music School, he graduated in dramaturgy in the class of Siniša Kovačević at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade, and then completed a master’s degree in directing in the class of Nikita Milivojević at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Arts in Belgrade.

In December 2011, together with twenty successful young artists, he founded the organisation “Kulturni element”, with which he has so far carried out nearly a hundred cultural and humanitarian activities. Since 2016 he has been the director of the “Lazar Jovanović” International Solo Singing Competition, the largest opera competition in Serbia. Since 2019 he has been an associate professor at the Faculty of Contemporary Arts in Belgrade, where he also served as head of the drama department, and from 2023 to 2025 he also taught at the Belgrade Dance Institute. Since 2025 he has taught at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade. He is the author of the television series “Prva tarifa” (First Tariff), which premiered on Prva Television.

During the first fifteen years of his career he worked at the Madlenianum Opera and Theatre, where, in addition to directing, assistant directing and dramatisations, he also performed a number of solo and choral roles in operas and musicals. He has chaired the juries of several literary events and theatre festivals. He was a member of the presidency of Mensa Serbia, where for eight years he was also editor-in-chief of the magazine “MozaIQ”. For years he held the same position of editor-in-chief at the Festival of Monodrama and Mime and at the Novi Tvrđava Teatar festival, and for five years he worked as a troupe leader for the BITEF festival. He is the founder of the Kulturni institut art education centre.

He regularly gives lectures and seminars throughout the country. He has created more than thirty operas, plays and projects. He trained professionally at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo in Monaco and in Nagoya, Japan.
